If Mozambique wants to be aligned with the United Nations Convention against Corruption and regional conventions, the Assembly of the Republic can pass a Law on Corruption and Related Crimes without having to change the Penal Code. This Law has already been produced, is at UTREL and the Government only has to submit it to AR.<\/p>\n

The CIP shares here the history of the \u201cAnti-Corruption Package\u201d process and shows that it is possible to have decent anti-corruption legislation in Mozambique without deputies going through painful moments of studying the \u201ccomplexity\u201d of the proposals to amend the Code.<\/p>\n
