{"id":5076,"date":"2020-11-19T12:57:33","date_gmt":"2020-11-19T10:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cipmoz.org\/?p=5076"},"modified":"2020-11-19T12:57:33","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T10:57:33","slug":"governacao-e-integridade-em-mocambique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cipmoz.org\/en\/2020\/11\/19\/governacao-e-integridade-em-mocambique\/","title":{"rendered":"GOVERNANCE AND INTEGRITY IN MOZAMBIQUE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 11\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The analyzes presented here correspond to the unique vision of each of its authors, adapted to the essential questions of the evaluation of the functioning and effectiveness of a National Integrity System (NIS), as defined by the organization Transparency International (TI).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The authors who produced the texts were selected taking into account their practical and consolidated experience in their respective fields of work. This measure is intended to provide a closer view of reality with regard to the approach to the various matters analyzed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, in order to provide some harmony in the analyzes carried out, they were limited to the following essential aspects of the assessment of an NIS:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Resources;<\/li>\n<li>Independence;<\/li>\n<li>Transparency;<\/li>\n<li>Accountability; and<\/li>\n<li>Integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, all topics covered had to adapt to the assumptions listed above.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although there is knowledge that we could have expanded the analysis to other areas, the difficulties in finding specialists who could present their thoughts independently ended up limiting our intentions. Therefore, we hope that this will be an important contribution to the beginning of a more structured discussion\/debate for all who are interested in the subjects that are dealt with, especially for public decision makers, in the search for improvements to make the governance processes in the various sectors more efficient.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, this report is what was possible to elaborate and we think that, not being finished (and it couldn&#039;t be), the themes that are discussed in it open up good prospects for the current Government, and others to come, to seek in some way seek inspiration to introduce essential governance reforms.
