The Tax Authority has just announced that Eni East Africa will pay 350 million US dollars to the Mozambican state, in capital gains tax, resulting from the sale of 25% of its participation in area 4 of the Rovuma Basin to the American multinational Exxon Mobil. However, there is no transparency in determining the value of capital gains.
