CIP SAYS THAT MISMANAGEMENT LEADS TO DRUG DEFICIT IN HOSPITALS

A report by the Center for Public Integrity (CIP) concludes that lack of communication and poor management are the main reasons that lead to the shortage of medicines in hospitals and public pharmacies. However, the Ministry of Health questions the methods used for the study.

Entitled “The lack of medicines is also associated with the precariousness of the pharmaceutical logistics operation in the public health system”, the report of the Public Integrity Center reveals that medicines are kept in inappropriate places in the district warehouses.
