About 5 months after the registration of the first case, Mozambique registered 22 deaths from the new coronavirus, of which 4 were registered on consecutive days (1-4 August). According to the health authorities, all these deaths were related to a pre-existing comorbidity (baseline disease) and, unfortunately, were decompensated, that is, they would probably have lost their lives with or without the coronavirus disease.
