The Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho de Rosário, visited the company Moçambique Celular (MCEL) on the 17th of August. This public company is facing financial difficulties. Accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Carlos Mesquita, the PM left MCEL with the promise that the State will “rescue” the company, to “make it viable in the context of competition”. Support for MCEL is normal, but transparency is required first.
