In October 2014, the fifth tender was launched for the concession of 15 areas for prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbons, located in the maritime part of the Rovuma Basin, Zambezi Delta and Angoche, as well as in the onshore part of the Palmeiras areas and around of the fields of Pande-Temane1. The contest, which initially lasted for three months, was extended twice and, in the end, lasted nine months.
However, the results were only published 3 months after the third extension2, making the entire process one year long, from launch to disclosure of the winners.
