The Mozambican civil society organization Center for Public Integrity (CIP) today expressed doubts about the possible advantages for Mozambique declared by the company Montepuez Ruby Mining (MRM), pointing out discrepancies in the values of the tax on production.
CIP called into question MRM's real contribution to the coffers of the Mozambican state and to the communities in the concession area of rubies extracted by the company in a statement in which it reacts to a letter from the company on the benefits of its operation in the country.
