On May 15, 2020, the Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, in an ordinary session of the Assembly of the Republic, announced a set of measures to revive the economy in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the availability of State funds, through the National Investment Bank (BNI), through a credit line of one billion meticais, to be granted under concessional conditions in favor of the national business sector.
CIP defends that the criteria for allocating these resources must be clear and made public in order to encourage their adherence by the national business community operating in the productive sector. Proceeding in this way will avoid the dismissal of workers resulting from administrative measures issued within the scope of the declaration of the State of Emergency.
