On February 9, 2021, the Center for Public Integrity (CIP) wrote to the Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Health requesting access to the opinions of the Technical-Scientific Commission for consultation, in order to understand the causes that led to the Government to decide on the slowdown/relaxation of preventive measures against the spread of Covid – 19, on the eve of Christmas and year-end celebrations. On March 5, 2021, the Presidency of the Republic responded negatively to the CIP's request, claiming that the production of the Technical Scientific Committee is “classified information”, specifically, “state secret”.
