The Mozambique Extractive Sector Transparency Index (ITSE) is an annual assessment instrument developed by the Centro de Integridade Pública (CIP) since 2019. Over five editions, the ITSE has systematically documented the levels of proactive disclosure by companies operating in Mozambique’s extractive sector across the Fiscal, Governance, Social and Environmental dimensions, building a unique historical series on sector transparency.
The 6th edition represents a significant methodological advance on previous editions, responding to three limitations identified through analysis of the 2019–2024 historical series and dialogue with index users.
