The deadline for receiving proposals for the 5th licensing round closed with the main oil multinationals disputing two potential blocks with oil wells in Angoche. Ignoring INP guidelines, the oil multinationals did not include national companies in their proposals. Petroinveste, a company recently established by senior Frelimo figures, was unable to be included in any bids from competing multinationals and now expects to be awarded 15% for participation in any of the winning bids.
