GOVERNO FALHA NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DE INFRAESTRUTURAS PARA A LOGÍSTICA DE GÁS

Approximately two years ago, with the consent of the Government, the project for the design, construction, operation and management of the Pemba logistics base was sub-concessioned, without a public tender, to ENH Integrated Logistics Services, SA (ENHILS), a company comprising the companies Mozambican companies ENH Logistics and ENH Rovuma Area 1, SA, both subsidiaries of Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) and Orlean Invest Holding Lda, from Nigeria.

At the time, the company Portos de Cabo Delgado, SA (PCD), a company created by the companies Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) and Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos Logísticas (ENHL), concessionaire of the port and logistics terminals of Pemba and Palma, in Cabo Delgado province, argued that it was necessary to meet deadlines set by the Government and have the logistical infrastructure ready by the end of 2016 to support the construction process of the liquefaction plant, whose operations were expected to start in 2018.
